Jimmy Julius (Yosef Chaim) Karow, 48 was indicted on numerous charges this Wednesday after JCW investigators tracked the wanted child rapist down to a medical clinic in Rishon Lezion.
Karow fled the United States over 20 years ago as police were closing in on him for child sexual abuse but was arrested again in Israel in 2002 and sentenced to five years in prison for raping a three-year-old girl.
Karow lived freely in Israel since his release – despite being wanted by Interpol – moving frequently around the country.
Approximately a year and a half ago, JCW supported another victim who filed charges against Karow with the police. She had been viciously raped by Karow over an extended period of time some 20-years before.
JCW – which began warning the community about Karow three years ago – launched an intensive search for him which eventually culminated with his arrest last month.
More information about this case will be revealed in the weeks to come. You can read more about the arrest and conviction in Hebrew here.
